Conversations ResLife didn't prepare me for...
- Resident: Can I talk to you about something?
- Me: Of course.
- Resident: .... Can I use a metaphor?
- Me: Uhh, sure.
- Resident: So, let's say that I have... A ferrari, but maybe I saw a Hondai Shark and possibly want that... "car" now.
- Me: What's wrong with the erm... "ferrari."
- Resident: Well, it needs a lot of maintenance and I don't quite have the cash for it. Plus we've been running into a couple of bumps in the road.
- Me: Traveling on two separate roads you might say? (note: I couldn't believe that I had actually said this afterwards).
- Resident: Yeah... And I may have also already test driven the Shark...
- Training did not prepare me for the conversations I would have with residents.
